Oryx trading was established with the objective of trading crude oil from the Arabian Gulf and supplying refined products to the African continent.
Oryx's trading strategy is to be a strong player in the East & West African market due to strategic partnerships with various refineries and processing plants. Since its inception, this focused strategy has helped the company to quickly establish itself as a strong player in the region.
Oryx's trading team consists of highly trained professionals with many years of experience across major oil companies and international trading houses.
Oryx trading is a partner of Oryx Petroleum, a private asset acquisition and management company incorporated in Hong Kong with an extensive – and growing – portfolio of investments in the Energy sector.
What we do
ORYX was established with the objective of trading CRUDE OIL from the ARABIAN GULF and supply of refined products to the AFRICAN CONTINENT.
ORYX has expanded over time to TRADING MINERALS and AGRICULTURE COMMODITIES across different GEOGRAPHICAL REGIONS.
METALS & MINERALS
We trade a wide range of metals and minerals and have established extensive supply chains. We source these from producers around the world predominantly to supply the manufacturing and construction industries.
ENERGY
We originate the physical transactions that support our customers’ through optimising the entire value change. We primarily have a trading focus on crude oil, refined products trading and natural gas.
AGRI TRADING
The main crops Oryx trade in this category are wheat, barley, and corn (feed and milling grades). Following our quality assurance policy, we mainly source grains in Eastern Europe.
FREIGHT
We capitalise on our knowledge and expertise to trade in the freight markets. We assiduously manage the financial, operational and market risks associated with trading and transporting commodities around the world.
Oryx has an extensive presence and knowledge across continents, Oryx and other companies in the group have invested and established strategic partnerships in infrastructure and logistics to connect producers to end users, simplifying the supply chain.
Our Products
CRUDE OIL
Our Crude oil operations trade services from our Dubai office, trading WTI / Brent / Dubai, Swaps to Futures (EFS) and CFD’s. We can source barrels worldwide and have access to a number of strategic crude grades
GASOLINE & NAPTHA
Our experienced and professional team trades with all aspects of physical gasoline, naphtha and reformate across all grades, sizes, geographies and trade types from inception, execution, operations to dispute resolution.
FUEL OIL
The Fuel Oil desk trades low-sulphur and high-sulphur fuel oil. We can source fuel worldwide and have access to a number of strategic supply sources of straight-run and cracked material.
MIDDLE DISTILLATES
Oryx is set-up to provide counter parties with comprehensive trade services for the sourcing and sale of middle distillates. The Middle Distillate desk trades Diesel, Gas oil, Kerosene and Jet Fuel.
GAS
Oryx's gas desk specialises in trading natural gas cargos primarily to large industrial consumers and utility companies.
Infrastructure
Oryx via its investment division has invested in strategic infrastructure worldwide to complement its core activities. We are constantly reviewing investment opportunities within infrastructure and companies that can help us secure supply and assist in processing and transporting physical commodities to our end users.
We have acquired and long-established strategic partnerships at fuel storage terminals and pipelines in Africa, Europe and the Middle East.
Alongside this, we have our own upstream operations in Latin America producing circa 50,000 barrels of oil per day with minority investments in other producing assets.
